Till now Google haven't openly provided any rich text formatting features for Google Plus. Though you can add some basic text formatting to the text in Google Plus posts, like bold, italic and strike through. This text formatting is achieved by using symbols like *(asterisk),-(minus),_(underscore).
At first it looks like kind of a weird, but it works. I will explain you how to write text using table.
Symbols Used | Format | Result |
** | *Bold* | Bold |
__ | _Italic_ | Italic |
-- | -Strikethrough- | |
*_ _* | *_Bold and Italic_* | Bold and Italic |
_- -_ | _-Italic and Strikethrough-_ | |
*- -* | *-Bold and Strikethrough-* |
